Ruddy Shelduck at Van Vihar, Bhopal

Normally migratory birds arrive in Bhopal in mid of october and are here till mid - march. But this year they are bit late. But now one can have site large cormorants on trees, and Ruddy Shelduck, whistling teals etc. Though still in less numbers. Ruddy shelduck (pic enclosed) a bright orange brown duck at Van Vihar Bhopal. The Ruddy Shelduck, Tadorna ferruginea, is a member of the duck,goose and swan family Anatidae.It is also known as the Brahminy Duck in India.
